The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation is working to make Pierce County a vibrant, compassionate and engaged community. We do this by making grants to effective nonprofit organizations that turns these donations into actions.
The grants we make are to nonprofits large and small, to those we've worked with before and those who are new to us. Throughout our funding, we're committed to looking at root causes, systemic change and making a long-term impact.
Our competitive grantmaking programs include:
Vibrant Community Grantmaking Program: Supporting organizations that address one of the five defined areas of a vibrant community.
Fund for Women & Girls: Supporting organizations that address critical issues facing women and girls by providing programs that foster self-esteem, self-reliance, and empowerment.
Youth Against Violence Fund: Supporting organizations working to build self-esteem, empowerment and healthy choices among youth in order to provide effective alternatives to youth violence.
Organizational Capacity Grants: Supporting organizations working to build internal capacity.
Organizational Capacity Grants: Supporting organizations working to build internal capacity.
The Community Foundation also manages the application process for the Youth Program Quality Initiative.
