Lincoln High School
Scholarship Program
The following scholarships are available to graduating students at Lincoln High School.
Established in 1992 through Elva Austin’s last will and testament. This scholarship award rotates each year between high schools throughout Pierce County.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating senior at a Pierce County High School. • Must enroll at a two-year or four-year college or university accredited in the United States. • Must have demonstrated financial need.
Created through Leola Baron’s bequest at a local Tacoma bank. In 1986, her scholarship fund was transferred to the Community Foundation for distribution.

Eligibility Requirements: • Graduating school senior from Lincoln High School. • Involved in the Commercial Department at Lincoln High School. • Plans to study Business Administration. • Enrolled in an accredited college or university within 18 months of graduation. • Financial need will be considered once all other criteria is met.
Established in 2007, in memory of Mr. Lewis Ide who graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1940.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating senior at Lincoln High School. • Must plan to pursue career in Industrial Technology. Examples of an Industrial Technology career include: (a) automotive and heavy equipment operator, maintenance and repair, (b) facilities maintenance, (c) machinist operator, (d) sheet metal or welding technology, (e) computer assisted drafting, (f) horticulture, and (g) other areas of industrial technology that require a certificate of proficiency and training offered at a technical school, community college, or four-year university in Washington State. • Preference given to students planning to attend Bates or Clover Park Technical College. • Must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
Established in 1996 by Theda M. Jezek, in memory of her beloved husband, Adolph M. Jezek.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating senior from Lincoln High School • Must enroll at a vocational school or a two-year or four-year college. • Must demonstrate financial need.
Established in 1985 under the terms of the last will and testament of William W. Kilworth.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating seniors from Clover Park High School, Lincoln High School, Stadium High School, or Wilson High School. • Must enroll during the next fall term after graduation at the University of Puget Sound, University of Washington, Washington State University, University of Oregon or Oregon State University. • Must demonstrate financial need.
Established in 1988 as a memorial by Louise Meyer’s family.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating seniors (a male and a female) at Lincoln High School. • Must enroll at a four-year college to pursue a career in education.
Established in 1991, by Barbara Peterson to memorialize her husband, Warren R. Peterson.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating senior at Lincoln High School. • Must enroll at a vocational school or a two-year or four-year college. • Must demonstrate financial need.
