Washington High School
Scholarship Program
The following scholarships are available to graduating students at Washington High School.
Established in 1993, through the last will and testament of Anna R. Harden. This scholarship award rotates each year between high schools within Pierce County.
Eligibility Requirements: • High school senior residing in Pierce County; • One award is available per Pierce County high school given on a rotating basis; • Enroll in a college or university within 18 months from graduation; • Maintain a satisfactory grade point average; • Financial need will be considered once all other criteria is met.
Established in 1992, by Elise W. Lyon as a memorial to her beloved husband, Victor. Victor L. Lyon was born in Tacoma in 1918. He and Elise married in 1947. Mrs. Lyon wanted to perpetuate the community involvement that she and her husband shared for so many years. This scholarship award rotates each year between high schools within Pierce County.
Eligibility Requirements: • Current graduating senior from a Pierce County High School. • Must enroll at a vocational, two-year, or four-year year college of university. • Must demonstrate financial need.
