As a part of your relationship with The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, we encourage you to spread the good news about your grant. Publicizing your grant is a great way to promote the work your organization is doing in the community, as well as highlight the Community Foundation’s recognition of the integrity of your organization. As a grantee of the Community Foundation, we will include you in appropriate press releases and publicize your name as a grantee in our e-newsletter. The media will also be interested in hearing directly from you for more specifics about your programs and services.
Community Foundation staff will help you:
• Brainstorm ideas for getting the word out about your grant. • Identify the appropriate media for your media list • Review your news releases and other publicity materials.
Contact Elyse Rowe, director of communications, at 253.383.5622 or erowe@gtcf.org, for assistance.
How to list the grant:
Please include an acknowledgement of The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation’s funding in all press releases, newsletters, and annual reports, as well as any additional promotional materials you deem appropriate. By doing so, you will help the community understand how the Community Foundation supports outstanding organizations in the region. Also, we always appreciate it when you place our logo on your website. If you have any questions about how to reference us in your publicity efforts, please ask. If you received a grant from an individual fund of the Community Foundation, the letter you receive will specify the exact name of the fund. That name should be used in any recognition, e.g. “The Jane Doe Fund of The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation.”
