Establishing a named charitable fund for your clients is easy and can be done in less than a day. Here are 4 steps to get you started.
1. Choose the type of contribution your donor would like to use to establish a fund. A donor can contribute cash, securities, or other assets. For more information, visit the “Different Ways to Give” page. Contribution amount must be at least $10,000 to establish a named fund.
2. Choose the type of fund your donor would like to establish. The type of fund they choose depends on factors such as their desired level of involvement, amount of their fund, etc. For more information, visit the “Types of Funds & Giving Options” page.
3. Designate current and successor fund advisors such as the client, spouse, children, etc.

Once a fund is established, donors may:
* Add to the fund at any time in any dollar amount * Select their grant disbursements program * Contact the Community Foundation for assistance in learning more about the needs of our community
Not ready to establish a fund? * Donors may make a contribution of any amount to any existing fund at any time.
