The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation serves as a resource to the nonprofit organizations in Pierce County. Vibrant Community Grantmaking Program
The Community Foundation awards grants twice per year through our Vibrant Community Grantmaking Program. Grant recommendations are approved by the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors. In our 2008 Fiscal Year, the Community Foundation distributed more than $634,000 in grants to local nonprofits, an increase of $132,000 from the previous year.
