The Community Foundation Grantmaking Values

Innovation:
We believe that long term community issues require a systems approach to address root causes. As a result, we give funding preference to programs that demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of underlying causes and a commitment to effective prevention.  We believe this approach to innovation will strengthen our community.

Collaboration:
We believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. As a result, we give funding preference to programs that combine their actions with others for better outcomes than they could create independently. We believe this approach to collaboration will strengthen our community.

Integrity:
We believe in the principles that govern healthy relationships and their essential role in promoting organizational stability and sustainability. As a result, we give funding preference to programs that demonstrate they are dependable, honest and transparent, and remain true to their mission. We believe this approach to integrity will strengthen our community.

Community:
We believe that making opportunities available for an individual to improve their physical, mental and social well-being creates a vibrant future for themselves, their families and their communities. As a result, we give funding preference to programs that build community assets and invest in human potential. We believe this approach will strengthen our community.
