When did you start working with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF)?

Briefly describe what you do in your role with GTCF

I support the day-to-day activities of the President & CEO and serve as liaison to the Board of Directors. I serve in the administrative role of the Leadership Team with planning and management support throughout the organization. I manage Human Resources functions within the organization; Recruiting, Onboarding and Performance Development. I manage and plan engaging wellness and teambuilding activities across the organization.

What is the most exciting part of your role with GTCF?

In my position, I wear many hats, it allows for creativity and synergy. I enjoy working with people and being the go-to person that makes things happen. I appreciate providing support to an array of individuals internally with my colleagues, our Board of Directors and externally with our community partners and connections. I love creating wellness, team building, recognition and celebration activities that enhance employee morale and make GTCF a fun place to work.

What other jobs or positions have you held?

Prior to joining GTCF I provided high-level executive support at Starbucks, CenturyLink, and Nordstrom. During my career, I’ve had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in Facilities Management, Event Planning, Project Coordination, and managing employee morale and recognition initiatives.

Outside of GTCF, what enjoyable activity do you engage in? What brings you joy?

I enjoy spending time and traveling with my husband and 2 sons. Locally, we enjoy discovering new places within the Puget Sound area, going on walking trails/hikes, and frequenting the amazing restaurants in Tacoma/Seattle. I’m an avid walker, my husband and I walk at least 5 days a week. I’m also passionate about raising awareness of high blood pressure and cardiovascular health as an American Heart Association volunteer and Go Red For Women Ambassador.
