The Tacoma Branch fulfills its mission through the efforts of an all-volunteer Board and branch members. The branch awards annual scholarships to students, works with the YWCA and other like-minded women’s organizations on issues of public policy, helps to sponsor trainings like “Smart Start” a salary negotiation workshop for college women, conducts Title IX “smell test” compliance reviews of local K-12 school districts, and engages local college and universities as member partners allowing all non-degreed students to be e-affiliates and benefit from the work of the association.
