Community Youth Services empowers at-risk youth and their families to meet their goals for safety, stability, belonging, and success by providing a continuum of individualized services and advocacy.

Community Youth Services (CYS) offers 19 interrelated programs that serve over 3,500 South Sound youth and their families annually. CYS provides a safety net of services for at-risk and homeless youth that includes: 

  • Street outreach
  • Rosie’s Place (daytime shelter where youth receive assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing and hygiene supplies and where they can connect to support services)
  • Young Adult Shelter (10 bed overnight shelter for youth 18-24)
  • Haven House (24/7 emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth ages 12-17)
  • Counseling and case management
  • Transitional housing
  • Independent living skills training 
  • Foster care
  • Multisystemic therapy
  • GED/vocational training and career prep
Many CYS clients are from Pierce County.
