Grounded in the diverse history of Tacoma, Working Class Theatre NW (WCTNW) builds community through production of theatre that is socially conscious and relevant to the issues of working class people today. To increase participation in theatre arts and promote the shared values of empathy and social justice, our theatre is accessible to people of all backgrounds and income levels.

WCTNW produces 4-5 productions per season that focus on current social issues. With our brand new theatre space on Hilltop, we will partner with local performing artists to promote a more diverse theatre and dance scene that speaks to our neighborhood specifically, and Tacoma as a whole. We will provide low cost opportunities for local playwrights, actors, directors, students, dancers, and storytellers to produce collaborative works for a broad audience. drawn to the space by low cost, high quality, relevant performing art.
