World Vision US Programs
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the cause of poverty and injustice.
World Vision works in the U.S. to create environments where all children are healthy, cared for, protected, thriving, and participating in their communities. We focus our work in some of our nation’s most underserved communities, where poverty is high and opportunities are limited. We also serve in many places where disaster strikes.
Since 1995, World Vision’s US Programs has been committed to the well-being of children and youth living in poverty in the U.S. We have operated several sites across America focusing on communities in greatest need and collaborating with local partner organizations such as non-profits, schools and churches to serve children and youth.
In the PNW, we multiply our impact by working in neighborhoods such as Tacoma’s eastside and Hill Top with 494 partner organizations to provide programs that:
- Equip community organizations that serve at-risk children and youth with gifts-in-kind and training
- Empower children and youth with academic mentoring and leadership programs
- Respond to disaster with essential products for relief and recovery
