Voice Overs…Now is Your Time!

June 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$30

Get ready to learn about the world of voiceover from a professional in the industry, Lisa Foster!

About this event
***Tacoma Arts Community Center is located on the corner of S. 11th and MLK, on the first floor***

In what could be the most enlightening 2 hours you’ve ever spent, this class will show you how you can actually begin using your speaking voice for commercials, films, videos, and more. Most people go about it the wrong way. In this introductory class, you will learn about a unique, outside the box way to break into this creative, fulfilling, and potentially lucrative industry. Voice-overs can be managed on your own terms, on your own turf, in your own time, and with minimal overhead! Whether you choose to pursue voice-overs part-time or full-time, this could be the game changer you’ve been looking for.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Lisa Foster is no unfamiliar face to the voice-over industry. She has been in the business for over 25 years and has been coaching for 10 years. Her first voice-over experience began in little ol’ Sacramento, CA back in 1991. She was the weekend traffic reporter for KFBK. Since then, she has been the voice for many well-known companies, doing voice-overs for video games, corporate training, and TV and radio ads. She has also written and performed stand-up comedy and has hosted many charity events and auctions in the Seattle area. Lisa Foster can be heard on the popular podcast that debuted in January 2012, “Peculiar Podcast with Pat Cashman and Lisa Foster.”

Here’s what Lisa Foster will be covering in the class:

-Overview of the voice-over industry
