Family-friendly event that will teach youth 14 and under the basics of fishing and the importance of conservation.

The event will give kids the opportunity to:
* Learn to tie basic fishing knots
* Practice casting
* Fish for rainbow trout from the park’s new fishing docks
* Learn how to protect fish and wildlife in Washington
* Meet fish and wildlife police officers
* Learn about water safety
* Talk with local Tacoma groups and businesses
