GTCF Welcomes Four New Board Members for 2026

TACOMA, WA – Greater Tacoma Community Foundation’s Board of Directors approved the addition of four new members during their annual meeting on December 18th. Gwen Gill, Jeanette Dorner, Rosie Ayala, and Timothy Allen will officially begin their terms in January 2026.
Gwen Gill
Gwen Gill is a founder and President of Trouvés Health Care Corporation which provides long-term care, crisis stabilization, and professional services to support people with complex care needs. She also started her own development company and has invested in, and developed, multiple senior living facilities in the United States.
Gwen also operates Care Fur Life horse sanctuary with 20 horses and 2 mini horses.

Jeanette Dorner
Jeanette Dorner is Executive Director of Nisqually Land Trust, a nonprofit working to protect and steward lands to permanently benefit the water, wildlife, and people of the Nisqually River Watershed. She is also an elected board supervisor on the Pierce Conservation District Board since 2009 and served as Chair since 2011.
Jeanette and her family have been part of the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church since 1981. She enjoys spending time with family and hiking.
Rosie Ayala
Rosie Ayala is the current Councilmember for Pierce County’s District 4, which includes a large part of Tacoma, University Place and Fircrest. She is also a board member, and former fellow, of the American Leadership Forum and has served as Park Commissioner with Parks Tacoma, and as Tacoma Arts Commissioner. The majority of her work in community has been in the areas of education access, collective impact, and social services.
Rosie loves to cook and also enjoys paddleboarding, exploring parks, restaurants, and markets throughout the area, and attending events and festivals from street fairs to more regional attractions like the kite festival.
Timothy Allen
Timothy Allen served as the City of Tacoma’s Retirement Director for 14 years before retiring in 2024. He brings a wealth of experience in finance and investment experience having also spent several years at Russell Investments in the Fixed Income Manager Research area of the Investment Division.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys running, hiking, cooking and travelling.
