General Information
Background
Vinod Rajpaul, a retired Boeing engineer, established the Vinod K. Rajpaul Endowment Fund of Greater Tacoma Community Foundation to support the four organizations he cared about most. Mr. Rajpaul entrusted GTCF with this endowment fund to annually assess and award grants to projects that will make the strongest impact. It is not the intention of the fund to support each organization every year.
Funding Priorities
The Vinod K. Rajpaul Endowment Fund will support projects that align with the agency’s historical grant relationship with Mr. Rajpaul. Priority will be given to special technology and/or enhancement projects.
Available Funding
The Vinod K. Rajpaul Endowment Fund has approximately $70,000-$100,000 available for distribution each year.
Process and Timeline
- Applications due Thursday, May 30, 2019
- Grant recommendations presented to Board of Directors in late June
- Grant decisions announced in early July
- Reports due January 31, 2020
