Community Impact is at the Heart of Our Mission
G.K. Chesterton says it best “people do not love a community because it is beautiful.  A community is beautiful because people love it.” At Greater Tacoma Community Foundation we bring your passion to life in Pierce County. For decades we’ve given donors exceptional insight into our region’s most pressing challenges and most promising opportunities.

The purpose of this section is to provide a snapshot and overview of what’s happening in Pierce County in terms of our community’s most critical impact areas. Information in this section is updated on a regular and ongoing basis and is intended to give donors and nonprofit partners useful information that contributes to enhanced decision making, priority setting, strategy development, and resource deployment. To help provide context of what’s going on in the community and who is doing the work we have also put together a comprehensive community calendar and nonprofit directory. Ultimately, our goal is to use these resources as a tool for bringing together people, data and ideas to create positive social and economic change. Should you have any questions, ideas or suggestions, please contact Ryan Betz, Director of Communication at 253.345.4173.
