Community Impact is at the Heart of Our Mission
Since 1981, the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF) has helped connect people who care with causes that matter. As a nationally accredited nonprofit organization, GTCF supports generosity across generations within Pierce County. GTCF has the funding, networks and knowledge to strengthen community solutions to community challenges, and to facilitate promising initiatives that make Pierce County a thriving, vibrant place to live.
The purpose of this section is to provide a snapshot and overview of what’s happening in Pierce County in terms of our community’s most critical impact areas. Information in this section is updated on a regular and ongoing basis and is intended to give donors and nonprofit partners useful information that contributes to enhanced decision making, priority setting, strategy development, and resource deployment. To help provide context of what’s going on in the community and who is doing the work we have also put together a comprehensive community calendar and nonprofit directory. Ultimately, our goal is to use these resources as a tool for bringing together people, data and ideas to create positive social and economic change. Should you have any questions, ideas or suggestions, please contact Megan Sukys, VP of Communication at 253.345.4173.
