As a donor’s net worth increases, more and more of the donor’s wealth is in the form of illiquid assets. Real estate, tangible personal property, and closely-held assets represent most of the wealth held by your most generous donors. This session will cover how to structure gifts that include illiquid assets. It will also offer practical solutions to the typical objections raised by a charity’s general counsel and business office to accepting gifts funded with property other than cash or publicly-traded securities.
